The RBI extends the deadline to return Rs 2,000 notes to bank offices till October 7.
Moneycontrol had only announced on September 29 that the RBI is likely going to extend the deadline for the general public to surrender Rs 2000 notes in order to deal with unpaid bank clients or to keep or sell the division.

After conducting a survey, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) extended the deadline for the general public to exchange or store Rs 2000 notes at bank premises till 7 October.
The existing plan for store/trade of Rs 2000 has been expanded because the withdrawal cycle's designated duration has come to an end and in light of a survey.
